Since Cordonys opened in September 2003 the range of produce and stock has increased dramatically. Cordony’s is constantly receiving impressive and pleasantly surprised responses from customers on the wide selection and ‘hard to find’ products in the store.
Cordony’s serves up an aromatic selection of coffee for their regulars with a variety of rice flour raspberry or apple and cinnamon muffins, homemade Portuguese custard tarts, toasted banana bread, chocolate brownies, lemon and coconut polenta cakes, flowerless chocolate muffins and the list goes on…
The Cheese counter is filled with a wide variety of blue cheese from France, England, and Australia with imported truffle honey to accompany. Oozing brie, award winning camembert, and triple cream cheeses from around the world, and the well appreciated ones such as Italian Taleggio, Pyengana cloth cheddar and fresh goat’s curd with their distinctive flavours, are accompanied by quince paste from Uruguay, caramelised figs, candied Clementine’s, apricots, saffron vanilla pears, baby dried figs, muscatel clusters, black muscats again the list goes on…
The meat counter consists of award winning leg hams and a selection of Italian salami’s, proscuitto and pancetta to name a few. Roast turkey and rare roast beef are constantly being cooked in the ovens, with fresh produce being the success for our popularity in small goods.
An array of bread is supplied fresh everyday, come in early for the popular rye or plain sourdough especially on a Saturday morning. Crusty wood fired Italian and pagnotta loaves are next to go. You will find organic whole meal spelt bread in the freezer and regulars put their orders in for those special breads to blemish in like olive sourdough loaves or mixed fruit bread.
You will find Cordonys setting up taste testing on any given Saturday with new and exciting produce to excite your taste buds.
